How overall hydration contributes to skin health.

It’s no secret that water is essential to our bodily processes. After all, water is the main component of our cells and tissues and represents 60% of our body composition as adults.1

When thinking about skin health in particular, water plays a key role in the function of our skin barrier—which protects the skin from outside toxins and prevents water loss from the body. Additionally, not getting enough water for your body weight and health goals can be associated with several dermatological issues.1,2

How Clear Skin Nutraceutical supports skin hydration from within.

Improved skin hydration is one of the many benefits that comes with taking a whole-body approach to mild to moderate acne. We formulated Clear Skin Nutraceutical with clinically tested, standardized ingredients that specifically target the underlying factors that lead to breakouts and compromised skin health in women, including these 2 that help boost hydration*:

  • Postbiotic (L. plantarum L-137): Improves diversity of gut flora for healthy digestion and increases hydration in the skin.3-5,*

  • Konjac Root: A fibrous root, harvested for its ceramide content, that addresses oil production and increases hydration in the skin.6,7,*

Tips to support better overall hydration.

Many people know to aim for 8 cups or 64 ounces of water daily—though you can customize your intake by drinking half of your body weight in ounces per day. For some, that might be easier said than done, so here are a few tips to help keep you on track:

  • Purchase a larger water bottle, like those labeled with timing for consumption.

  • Set reminders on your phone or via sticky notes around the house.

  • Drink more water earlier in the day instead of in the evening to avoid waking at night to use the bathroom.

  • Jazz up plain water with fresh fruit, cucumber, or an electrolyte powder (stick with those with zero or low sugar and minimal artificial additives).

  • Sip on herbal teas for added variety. Just keep in mind that caffeinated beverages don’t count towards overall water intake since caffeine acts as a mild diuretic.
