Nutrafol Real Growth Guarantee—Terms & Conditions

If you have not experienced visible results after consistently using Nutrafol Hair Growth Nutraceuticals (HGN) for six months, you may be eligible for a full refund under the Nutrafol Real Growth Guarantee.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Real Growth Guarantee, you must meet all of the following requirements:


1. Subscription & Purchase Requirements

  • You must be a first-time Nutrafol subscriber who subscribes to an eligible HGN subscription directly on nutrafol.com on or after May 7, 2026.
  • You must purchase, via subscription, a minimum of six (6) bottles of Nutrafol HGN on nutrafol.com within 180 days of your initial purchase date.
  • Your subscription must remain active throughout the entire 180-day program window and through the claim window (Days 180–210).
  • Subscriptions purchased through retail partners, marketplaces, or any channel other than nutrafol.com are not eligible at this time.
  • One claim is permitted per subscription, with a maximum of two (2) eligible subscriptions per household.
  • Eligibility is limited to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older.

2. Qualifying Products

The Real Growth Guarantee applies only to qualifying Nutrafol products purchased on nutrafol.com.


Eligible products:

  • Nutrafol Hair Growth Nutraceuticals (HGN), including:
    • Women's
    • Women's Balance
    • Postpartum
    • Women's Vegan
    • Men's
    • Men's 50+
    • Nutrafol Nutraceutical Boosters, when purchased as part of an eligible HGN subscription. Boosters purchased on their own, without an active HGN subscription, do not qualify.

Not eligible:

  • Topical products (including scalp serums and any other topical products), whether purchased standalone or paired with an HGN subscription. Topical product purchases do not count toward the six-bottle minimum and are not refundable under this guarantee.

3. myNutrafol App Requirements

You must download, install, and complete all of the following in-app actions during your 180-day program window:

  • Acknowledge the Real Growth Guarantee terms at the time of in-app onboarding and within 30 days of initial order (via the dedicated terms acknowledgement step).
  • Complete a minimum of three (3) check-ins within the app during the 180-day program window.
  • Submit three (3) progress photos (must submit all 5 views) within the following submission windows. Photos submitted outside of these windows will not count toward eligibility:
    • First submission: Day 1 (date of purchase) through Day 37
    • Second submission: Day 97 through Day 127
    • Third submission: Day 187 through Day 217
  • All photos must follow Nutrafol's photo capture guidelines (lighting, framing, head positioning, and styling) to ensure consistency and accurate comparison across timepoints.
  • Note: All program windows and deadlines include a 7-day buffer to account for shipping and delivery times. App reminders for progress photos and check-ins are also based on a start date 7 days after purchase, allowing time for the product to arrive.

4. Data Rights

To remain eligible, you must provide your progress photos and check-in responses as detailed above for the purposes of validating your Real Growth Guarantee claim. Under certain privacy laws, you may have rights to your personal information which can be exercised here. If you submit a data subject request at any time during the program which affects our ability to validate your Real Growth Guarantee claim, you will become ineligible for the Real Growth Guarantee. This includes a request to delete your personal information, account, or your consumer health data.


How Results Are Measured


Nutrafol Real Growth Hair Assessment Scale (NRGHAS)

Results are evaluated using the Nutrafol Real Growth Hair Assessment Scale (NRGHAS), a standardized photographic assessment methodology that has been reviewed and validated by Nutrafol's Medical Advisory Board, which is composed of board-certified dermatologists with expertise in hair loss and scalp health. Board members have evaluated the NRGHAS's assessment criteria, photographic protocol, and scoring framework, and have attested that the methodology is consistent with accepted clinical practices for evaluating hair growth from standardized global photographs. Advisory board members are compensated consultants to Nutrafol.


AI-Based Photo Analysis

Submitted photos will be analyzed using a proprietary AI model developed and trained by Nutrafol using a combination of:

  • before-and-after progress photos voluntarily contributed by Nutrafol customers, and
  • standardized clinical photographs from Nutrafol-sponsored clinical studies.

The model compares your baseline (Day 0–30) and six-month (Day 180–210) photos and scores each view across the four NRGHAS criteria above. The model produces a structured per-view, per-criterion score and a composite progress score that is used to determine whether your photos meet the threshold for refund eligibility.


Expert Grader Review

If the proprietary AI model determines that you have not experienced results (i.e., your composite NRGHAS score falls at or below the qualifying threshold), your case will be flagged for human review by a qualified third-party expert contracted by Nutrafol. Reviewers are board-certified dermatologists, medical residents, licensed naturopathic doctors, or other experts all trained in the validated NRGHAS, and who are not employed by Nutrafol.


The expert grader will examine your baseline and six-month photos against the same NRGHAS criteria and their grading will be the final determination on whether you qualify for a refund. The expert grader's determination is final.


You will be notified of the final determination by Nutrafol's Customer Experience (CX) team via email or in-app communication. If your claim is approved, your refund will be processed as described below. If your claim is denied, the CX communication will include the reason for denial and any available next steps.


The AI model and expert grader assessment is for informational purposes only. It is not intended for the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or for use in the cure, monitoring, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease or other conditions.


Submitting a Real Growth Guarantee Claim


If you are between Day 180 and Day 210 from your initial purchase date, are still an active subscriber, and have completed all in-app eligibility actions, you may submit a claim through the myNutrafol app's Real Growth Guarantee submission flow in the myNutrafol app, or by contacting Nutrafol Customer Experience at realgrowthguarantee@nutrafol.com.

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • Phone number
  • The email address associated with your Nutrafol account
  • Confirmation that all required in-app actions have been completed

Claims submitted before Day 180 or after Day 210 from your initial purchase date will not be eligible for review. Cancellation of your subscription prior to the opening of the claim window (Day 180) will result in ineligibility. Once submitted your claim will be reviewed and determination will be made within 10 business days.


Ineligibility Conditions


You will not be eligible for a refund under the Real Growth Guarantee if any of the following apply:

  • The subscription has previously received a Real Growth Guarantee refund (maximum of one refund per subscription and two refunds per household).
  • The purchase was made through any channel other than nutrafol.com.
  • The subscription was canceled prior to the claim window opening at Day 180.
  • Required in-app milestones (onboarding, habit formation, photo submissions, check-ins, terms acknowledgement) were not completed within their required windows.
  • A claim is determined to be fraudulent, duplicative, or the photographs submitted are detected by Nutrafol's AI fraud-detection systems to be altered, filtered, or otherwise manipulated.
  • You have exercised one of your rights under certain privacy laws which affects our ability to validate your claim, including a request to delete your data, account, or consumer health data.

Refund Processing


If your claim is approved—either by the AI model determination or by the expert grader's review—Nutrafol will issue a refund equal to the actual purchase price you paid for your six (6) months of qualifying products (including any promotional pricing or bundle discounts applied at the time of purchase). Refunds will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow up to 30 days following approval to receive your refund.


Nutrafol reserves the right to verify eligibility requirements, including purchase history, program participation, photo documentation, and consent records.
